The Saint Christopher Wine Cellar was founded by a family in 1998. At that time Zamárdi had 3 hectare of grape grounds which has grown to 7,5 hectare for these days. The winery was built in 2000 in idyllic environment at the oldest and most beautiful wine cellar area. You can find here a wine cellar, a processing section, a bottling section, and a wine tasting cellar, which is suitable to take into 120 person.
A new craft gallery has opened in the cellar. József Horváth and Imre Fehér have permanent exhibition of their oil paintings inspired by the landscape of Lake Balaton. We can enjoy peace under the arbor of fruit trees in the garden.
High quality white wine is made by own produced grapes of Zamárdi. Main types of grapes: Olaszrizling, Zöld veltelini, Irsai Olivér, Chardonnay, Zenit. Grapes are bought from the local farmers for the high quality rosé -, siller -, and red wines: Kékfrankos, Merlot, Pinot Noire, Cabernet Sauvignon.
Oaken barrelled (barrique) and modern reductive technology are applied during the wine making process.
